Alaina Saulsberry is the owner and founder of Color Du Jour, LLC and Color Du Jour Makeup Studio, proudly based in her hometown of Houston, Texas. A graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University, Alaina’s love for beauty began at an early age after watching her aunt teach her sister how to apply makeup—a moment that sparked a lifelong passion.
After graduating in 2008, she began offering makeup services part-time under the name “Unique Touch,” while working full-time as a 7th-grade science teacher and volleyball coach. In 2012, Alaina took a leap of faith and pursued her passion full time, rebranding her business to what is now known as Color Du Jour.
She approaches makeup as an art form, treating each application with the same care and individuality as the clients she serves. With an unwavering commitment to excellence and a heart for people, Alaina continues to shape Color Du Jour into a trusted beauty brand that welcomes clients from all walks of life.
